Cambridge Moto Class – Terms, Conditions, and Liability Disclaimer
Please read the following terms carefully before participating in your training session. By undertaking training with Cambridge Moto Class, you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk and Personal Injury
- Rider Responsibility: Motorcycle training inherently involves risk. You acknowledge that you are riding either your own motorcycle or a Cambridge Moto Class machine entirely at your own risk and of your own free will.
- Instructor Control: You accept that the instructor cannot physically control the motorcycle you are operating.
- Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cambridge Moto Class accepts no liability for personal injury, illness, or death arising from your participation in the training, apart from our liability to third parties.
“Third parties” means members of the general public, that is, anyone who is not you, your instructor, or Cambridge Moto Class.
2. Machine Damage and Insurance Options
If you are training on a Cambridge Moto Class motorcycle, you are responsible for any damage caused to the machine during your session. You have two options regarding this liability:
- Option A (Standard): You agree to pay the standard insurance excess fee in full if you cause damage to our motorcycle.
- Option B (Damage Waiver): You may opt to pay a £20 non-refundable Insurance Waiver Fee prior to the start of your session. If this waiver is purchased, you will not be held liable for accidental damage caused to our motorcycle during the session.
3. Use of Personal Motorcycles
If you choose to use your own motorcycle for training purposes:
- You do so entirely at your own risk.
- Cambridge Moto Class accepts zero responsibility for any mechanical failure, wear and tear, or accidental damage caused to your personal vehicle during the training session.
- You warrant that your vehicle is roadworthy, taxed, MOT’d (if applicable), and insured.
4. Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy
Cambridge Moto Class is committed to providing a safe, respectful environment.
- We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any abusive, aggressive, dangerous, or disrespectful behaviour directed at our instructors, staff, or other trainees.
- If your behaviour is deemed unacceptable or unsafe by your instructor, your session will be terminated immediately. You will be asked to leave the site, and no refund will be issued.
5. Medical and Mental Fitness
- You certify that you are both medically and mentally fit to safely operate a motorcycle.
- You must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or prescription medication that may impair your riding ability or invalidate insurance. You must meet the minimum eyesight requirements mandated by UK law.
6. Acceptance of Full Terms
By signing below or proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the full Terms and Conditions available on the Cambridge Moto Class website.
